Circuit de Calafat is one of the most technical and physically demanding circuits in Spain. Located in the seaside town of L’Ametlla de Mar in Tarragona, just 800 metres from the Mediterranean coast, this hidden gem combines challenging racing with a spectacular coastal setting.
The 3.250 km layout features 16 corners — nine right-hand and seven left-hand turns — connected by a 600-metre main straight. The narrow 10-metre track width demands precision and consistency, making it an ideal venue for drivers looking to sharpen their skills during a trackday session.
Certified by the Motorcycle and Automobile Catalan Federation, Calafat serves as both a competition venue and a professional training camp. Beyond the main circuit, the facility includes a 770-metre low-adherence sliding track perfect for drifting practice. The combination of technical layout, professional facilities, and Mediterranean atmosphere makes Calafat a favourite among trackday regulars.

The Calafat circuit is renowned for its technical layout that rewards precision driving. The relatively narrow track width and variety of corner types make it an excellent training ground.
The circuit also features a separate 770-metre low-adherence sliding track with a 227-metre straightaway, ideal for drift training and advanced vehicle control exercises.
Calafat offers a compact but well-equipped motorsport complex set in a unique coastal location.
The coastal location means you can combine a trackday with a beach day — several excellent beaches and restaurants are within minutes of the circuit.
